October mood: mentally in a Christmas market with a mulled w**e in my hand. 🍷🎄

Yes, I know we haven’t had Halloween yet. But a weekend of twinkling lights, festive food and browsing wooden stalls isn’t going to plan itself…

Too many people get scammed when it comes to booking accommodation. Fake sites, fake listings. I know so many people who have booked accommodation or villas on-line only to be left in tears when the booking wasn’t real 😢

I am not even sure this rogue industry can be fully regulated. But booking through a trusted travel agent, will at least guarantee your holiday won’t be subject to scams.

Under EU digital law, Booking.com must properly assess and address risks linked to fraudulent listings and phishing scams.

It must also clearly label listings that have paid for a higher position in search results.

Booking a holiday should be exciting, not risky. Europeans deserve to book with confidence, knowing platforms are taking their safety seriously. We’ll make sure they live up to their responsibilities.
