I have booked on this various times to take my children to the theatre in the summer holidays and saved lots of money.

Have a look online at the shows they are offering this year.

I personally write down dates we can do, then shows in preference then first fingers first try and book when it goes on sale. Some shows are very popular, I failed so many years trying to get the Lion King. Some of the not as popular shows are easier to get tickets on.

Just a reminder Oliver show in London also has a lottery on each week. For just £30 a ticket you can get tickets in the stalls. This lottery allows a maximum of 4 tickets including the winning ticket person which I feel is an excellent deal.

I heard after lunchtime on a Thursday that I had been selected and that tickets were bookable for the following Tuesday through to Sunday. For is it was Easter holidays so perfect timing!

We actually did 2 shows in a day as I happened to win Romeo and Juliet tickets the same day. These two theatres are close to each other so it was perfect.

The show itself is excellent, we loved the performance and would highly recommend it.

Our seats were further back in the stalls yet booster seats were available for children. I honestly couldn’t fault the seats at a bargain price.

I wanted to share something new to me in all my years of travel. Luton airport offers you to pre book security for free up to 4 days before you travel on their website. Basically you get a half an hour timeslot for arrivals between 3am and 3pm.

Basically you follow the signs for Pre booked security. It’s on a first come, first served basis. This saves pre paying to do it.

Holiday destinations such as Barcelona, Malta, Tenerife, Larnaca, Corfu and Ibiza are on the list. I have noticed some destinations not on the list such as Malaga.

Anyway if you’re flying from Luton I would pop it in your calendar maybe 5 days before to start watching. I am not sure if it’s available for weekends as I checked this weekend and no slots coming up. Yet it’s worth trying it to make you have a shorter queue time at the airport.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to see Romeo and Juliet in London. My daughter was very excited to see Sadie Sink playing Juliet as a big fan of Stranger Things.
It was lovely to see lots of younger members in the audience who you could tell had gone to see her.

The theatre was a nice smaller one and we had seats in the stalls. The show was sold out.

I will tell you a trick they do an event each week called Pay what you can lottery. At 10am every Wednesday they release 30 seats for each performance the following week.

I tried the week before knowing Easter holidays was coming up and I was 2000 in the queue therefore unsuccessful. Yet the week after I joined the queue just 5 mins before it started and was 100th in the queue so I thought oh I may have a chance. I was very lucky and got through. Naively I just selected the performance I could do and the highest price of £30 each. In fairness I thought that was a great price for stall tickets and then I won them! I was very happy.

So if you know you maybe able to go the following week then definitely enter the lottery and try.
