I genuinely had concerns that Fiona and I would have next to zero trips in 2026 but after some back-and-fourth, we've locked the rest of the year down.

2026 has been locked down!

Originally Fiona and I had plans for 2026 and a couple of months back, they started fall apart. However: what has Inverness, Miami Beach, The Scarlet Lady, Key West, Bimini Beach and Deerfield Beach all got in common? Yes, they're in the 2026 plan. A video update will follow in a month or so.

The State of P&O Irish Sea Ferries in 2026 (A Road Trip to Northern Ireland).

Fiona and I took the decision to pop over to Northern Ireland to visit my mother on her birthday (Sat, 4th April), which in 2026 was also the Easter Weekend. Given the outrageous behaviour of P&O management on 17th March 2022, we would have preferred not to travel between Scotland and Northern Ireland on P&O but let’s face it – there is practically no competition on the North ern Irish sea routes. So, in this episode, we look at the state of P&O Irish Sea Ferries in 2026 onboard the P&O European Causeway between Cairnryan and Larne.

As with all our videos, this video is more than just a trip report; it’s a memory of the journey we took from our home in Scotland, to my mother’s house, near Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Fiona and I have just returned from a visit to Northern Ireland.

It was a very quick visit to see my mother over the Easter weekend. I think, I have managed to pull together at least two episodes for the channel but please bear with me as I edit them for YouTube.

Guys, I promise - New content is coming in 2026.

Sadly as you get older, your parents become your children and a new level of commitment begins. That is certainly the case for my gorgeous wife "Fiona." who has been dealing with a lot in the last 12 months, reducing the amount of travel we can commit to. It's certainly not helped by ongoing geopolitical challenges but we promise, some limited new content is coming.

As I looked over our channel graphics and channel intro video, I felt our YouTube channel needed a new lick of paint and this is simply what this very, very short video is all about.

In the same way we like to believe that golf was invented in Scotland, we like to believe the same about New Year’s. In many towns and villages across the country, it’s tradition to host a torchlight parade to celebrate the end of one year, leaving the traditional New Years celebrations (“Hogmanay”) for December 31st (tonight). Last night Fiona and I attended the torchlight parade in our village, and in this 2-minute video we try to share some of the sounds and scenes that we enjoyed as we said goodbye to 2025.

Fiona and I are pretty poor when it comes to decorating our home for the Christmas holidays. We got better after moving into this house in early December 2022 but this year (2025), we've lapsed into our bad habits.
