A bit of drizzle didn’t dampen our spirits today! 🌿
Despite the damp weather, today’s Suffolk Forest School summer term meet up was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share ideas and get creative outdoors.
Our theme was Summer Arts and Crafts, and participants enjoyed trying a range of activities including oak gall and nettle ink, nettle cordage, elder beads, ‘magic’ paint, spinners and butterflies, and a variety of weaving activities. As always, it was inspiring to see so much knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm being shared.
A huge thank you to Dawn at Windflower Forest School, Badley, for hosting such a welcoming session, and to Garnham’s Coffee for providing the camping pitches. Thank you also to everyone who attended and contributed ideas and items for our swap shop – your generosity and willingness to share is what makes these gatherings so valuable.
Please save the date for our next Suffolk Forest School meet up on 7th November in Felixstowe. We are delighted to be welcoming Sarah and Hev from Nature of Learning, who will be sharing their thoughts and experiences around “Forest School as a Space for Neurodivergent Children to Thrive.”
We look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces there.
