Formerly Claire Tyler Dance, Tone & Poise operates on a freelance basis teaching across private, community, and public sectors of Dance. Claire was trained at The Lorraine Day School of Dance, then studied for a BA(hons) in Ballet Education at The Royal Academy of Dance. This was followed up by a PGCE in Dance Education also at The Royal Academy of Dance, and in 2022 she gained her Master in Dance
Teaching. She can read and write in Benesh Dance Notation
Claire has level 2 Mat Pilates training and likes to incorporate an element of motion into her practice. Claire has written articles for the Dance Review - Dance in Education, IDTA - first-hand experience of the Closing Ceremony 2012, and various blogs for Capezio. Claire has taught seated dance in care homes, and hopes to add to this by launching Dance for Parkinson's
Claire examines for AQA and RSL Dance. She wants all GCSE Dance to be available to all as she is aware of arts funding costs in schools, hence offering this as an after-school club. For the Celebration of the Magna Carta Claire Tyler Dance was involved in the production of The Freedom Game hosted at The Royal Albert Hall acting as a Rehearsal Director.
