Bunkhouse Gower Hardingsdown Bunkhouse. Comfortable, affordable and welcoming bunkhouse accommodation for families, groups and individuals situated on beautiful Gower.

Hardingsdown Bunkhouse is a perfect base for all holidays in the Gower Peninsula. Situated on Lower Hardingsdown Farm, approximately fifteen miles from Swansea, it is ideally placed for you to take advantage of the surrounding beaches, caves and woodland that make up this beautiful area. The bunkhouse is a recently converted stone barn, providing comfortable self catering accomdation. It sleeps up

to fourteen people, and has a fully equiped kitchen and living room. The Gower Peninsula, which was Britain's first ever designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers something for everyone's taste: from idle walks along the extensive footpaths; to surfing at Llangennith beach, a mere five minutes drive away; paragliding at the Rhossili Downs or enjoying a leisurely cup of tea at one of local tea rooms. In addition to this, we have the Gower Tree, Shrub and Plant Centre on the farm itself, which is well worth a visit! We are Allison and Andrew Tyrrell, and we have two sons, Rhodri and Steffan. The farm has been in our family since the 1950s, so we are the third generation of our family to farm here. We farm organic beef cattle and sheep, including a small flock of pedigree Suffolk sheep. We are ably assisted by our three dogs: Myfi (pronounced Muvee), Floss and Roy. They are very friendly and do like to let you know they're around! Incredibly Hardingsdown Bunkhouse - Gower’s first bunkhouse is 20 years old this year!! We have so enjoyed the journey and much has changed and developed since we opened all those years ago and with The Chaffhouse too we have met so many wonderful people along the way.
In the past few weeks The Bunkhouse has had a bit of a well deserved kitchen makeover and living room revamp…we hope you like the new look.
An enormous thank you to everyone who worked so hard to get the renovations done in time for our St David’s Day guests…..you know who you are! And to Susan Lloyd and Anne Tyrrell…..we can’t thank you enough….you’ve been fantastic!
So….here’s to the next 20 years!!…we look forward to welcoming you all…past, present and future guests. Many thanks. Cheers! 🥂

What a brilliant idea…. not mine I hasten to add! My guests this weekend had arranged for a grazing platter to be delivered for when they arrived and look how delicious and lovely it all looks. The platter came from Fullofgraze based in Mumbles…look up on FB and Instagram and run by Jenny whose love and passion for food is amazing! Great idea to have food ready and waiting for when guests arrive after a long journey, tired and hungry!

LAST MINUTE AVAILABILITY IN THE BUNKHOUSE AND THE CHAFFHOUSE……due to some groups now unable to come and stay because of COVID regs we have some last minute availability for up to three extended households.
Here are the dates of anyone fancies a quick get away to our lovely cottages.

Staying in The Bunkhouse…..
Friday 2nd - Monday 5th July (3 nights) Sleeps up to 12 people
Also have availability in following week up to 9th July.
Friday 16th - 18th July (2 nights)
