On Friday Lynda had the pleasure of being invited to High Trenhouse near Malham to experience their corporate retreat offering. Here's what she had to say:

It was great! It is in the middle of nowhere in the Yorkshire Dales and is so peaceful. That said, pretty easy to get to by train and road.
All of the delicious food is homemade by French chef Laurent using locally sourced where possible and is incredibly tasty (my dietaries were well catered for!).

We had a lot of great activities from building ‘wonky nessie’ and relaying instructions by radio for the other team to build, to ‘rescuing’ an 80 year old man and his wife ‘lost in the wilds’ and carrying them by stretcher to safety, all under the watchful eye of Sean from Yorkshire Dales Guides.

Meeting local farmers Frank and Frank, a father and son team who are working on putting farming back on the map and encouraging young farmers to take up the mantel, was a particular highlight, as was going on a tour of their farm, Lee Gate Farm (for some reason I can't tag, but check out their socials!)

And if I can just say…all fam trips should end in a pen of Collie puppies – best therapy ever!

Well done to all involved. If you get the opportunity to check this great exclusive-use venue out – take it! 🎓 AVR 2025 – That’s a wrap!

On Wednesday we delivered the final Academic Venue Roadshow of the year, and what a finale it was!

Our Brunch & Learn event brought together 10+ of the UK’s finest academic venues, connected with pre-qualified event agents through speed networking, and featured energising ice-breaker and team-building activities thanks to our brilliant sponsor, Off Limits® Event Professionals. The human rollercoaster 🎢 was epic!

All of it hosted in the stunning Goodenough House—a venue that truly lives up to its name. Thank you to Sabrina Beck 🙏
