5:30am for safari? No problem!

That first coffee while it’s still dark, the cool morning air as you climb into the jeep, and the bush slowly waking up around you as the sky turns golden. Then, somewhere ahead, your guide spots movement…

You never quite know what the morning will bring, but those early starts always feel worth it.

I have a question for you… do you still love flicking through a travel brochure? 📖🌍

Whilst I predominantly work digitally and keep very few brochures, I know some of my clients still enjoy browsing the pages for inspiration before we start planning a holiday especially for a long-haul adventure or a more complex trip.

With new brochures coming out for 2027 and even 2028, would you be interested in being able to request brochures covering different destinations and holiday styles, which I could then pop through your letterbox locally or post out to you? ✉️

For now, I’m simply gauging interest before I start sourcing brochures and putting a request process together.

🌿 World Sustainability Day 🌿

Exploring the world is a huge part of my life, personally and professionally, and I want to help look after the places we love visiting.

It might feel a bit rich saying that after flying to Australia for a week! I recognise the impact. Tourism Australia carbon-offset every delegate’s trip, mine included. That doesn’t erase the impact of flying, but I value working with partners taking responsibility.

You may have noticed I’ve been taking longer trips this year. I appreciate that time away inevitably brings some disruption to my service. Where possible, I’m combining experiences and spending longer in destinations to make each flight more worthwhile, both for my learning and the knowledge I bring back to you.

There’s always more to learn and improve. Here’s how that feeds into my business:

🌱 Learning and sharing
My TTG Sustainable Travel Ambassadorship has two pillars: improving my own business and encouraging more responsible travel beyond it, learning along the way. Being a finalist for Responsible Luxury Travel Designer of the Year 2026 at the TTG Luxury Travel Awards reflects that ongoing work.

🤝 Shared values
There are products and experiences I won’t sell. New suppliers undergo thorough vetting to ensure our values align, and I work closely with partners to understand and champion good practices.

🏡 Travel as a force for good
Local guides, independent restaurants and thoughtfully run accommodation help holiday spending support communities, livelihoods and the places we love.

🌳 Contributing
I offset my personal travel through our Trees4Travel partnership and encourage clients to consider doing the same, if they wish, alongside thoughtful travel choices.

Luxury and responsible travel can intertwine when the right decisions are made. Many happen behind the scenes, through the partners and experiences I choose for you. Entrusting me with your plans means those considerations are already part of your holiday.

🇱🇨 Destination Spotlight: Saint Lucia 🇱🇨

This week has been all about the Caribbean, particularly Saint Lucia, with everything from luxurious island stays to Caribbean cruises on my desk. So I thought it was time to shine a spotlight on this beautiful island! ☀️

I’ve now visited twice, and what I love is how much you can weave into a holiday here. Alongside the gorgeous beaches, there are those unmistakable Piton views, volcanic mud baths, chocolate-making experiences and lively Friday-night street parties.

There’s also such a wonderful choice of places to stay. Cap Maison is a favourite for something special, while StolenTime, formerly Rendezvous, holds a little piece of my heart for its relaxed atmosphere and personal touch. 💛

My biggest tip? Consider splitting your stay between the north and the scenic south around Soufrière. It’s a lovely way to experience two different sides of the island without taking another flight.
