Tour des Muverans September 2025🇨🇭🥾🏔️
The Tour des Muverans is a wonderful circular hike in Valais, with many different options for walking. The trail is officially 54 km, with 4300m of ascent and descent and 23 hours of walking. The tour runs mainly above 2000m, with an altitude of over 2600m and a lowest point of 1230m. During our 5-day Tour des Muverans, you hike around the mountain peak Grand Muveran, which rises above 3000m and lies on the border between Vaud (Waadt) and Valais (Valais) in Switzerland.
Itinerary
Sunday 7th September 2025
- Meet @ Geneva airport train station 11.30am
-Depart @ midday to Sion and onto Derborence
A stunning train and bus journey above Lake Geneva taking in Lausanne and wonderful mountains 🏔️ 🇨🇭
- 3.30 pm arrive at Refuge du lac de Derborence for 1st nights stay chilling and chat over dinner about trek ahead 😊
Monday 8th September
- Depart at 9.30am to Cabane Rambert
Distance - 11.5km
Duration- 6 hrs hike time
Ascent - 1230 metres
Descent - 150 metres
Tuesday 9th September
- Depart at 9.30am Cabane du Fenestral
Distance - 9.5km
Duration - 5 hrs 30 mins
Ascent - 560 metres
Descent - 660 metres
Wednesday 10th September
- Depart at 9.30am too Cabane de La Tourche
Distance - 11.2km
Duration- 6 hrs
Ascent - 550 metres
Descent - 800 metres
Thursday 11th September
- Depart at 9.30 am too Auberge de Pont de Nant
Distance - 10.4km
Duration- 6 hrs
Ascent - 450 metres
Descent - 1360 metres
Friday 12th September
- Depart at 8 am to Derborence
Distance - 15km
Duration - 7 hrs
Ascent- 1100 metres
Descent 720 metres
Depart Derborence at 4pm
