Set on an ancient waterfront mahogany grove on the island’s Platinum Coast, it’s a glamorous celebrity magnet yet retains a laidback Caribbean charm, with super-friendly staff dispensing impeccable service. Expect an airport concierge on arrival, luggage packing and unpacking, and sunlounger-side pampering including cold towels, water-misting and tropical drinks (and a no-tipping policy).

Reminiscing of my time at this beautiful hotel in lake como

An art nouveau mansion in a prime position on the shore of Lake Como, Grand Hotel Tremezzo presses all the right buttons when it comes to stylish, on-point interiors (velvet, marble, but never over-done), exquisite gardens and one of the most write-home-about pools – somehow floating on top of the lake.
