"Dale2swale is one of those places you don’t want to leave a five star review for, or tell anyone about because it feels like you’ve stumbled across a precious treasure that you want to keep just for yourself, but it is also one of those places you want to shout about from the roof tops and tell everyone how incredible it is because every family deserves a break like this.
It’s so rare to catch a break as a parent, even on holiday, but here we are able to play football, go bug hunting, have bbqs, roast marshmallows, fly kits, have water fights but also sit and watch the kids exhaust themselves in nature while having a nice sit down with a glass of something in our hands, soak up their laughter and finish a sentence - our kids are 5 and 2 so this really is gold dust. The tent was beautiful, spotless and so cosy. Thanks for being the most accommodating, welcoming and friendly host Chris. Hopefully be back soon!"

I was shown some incredible art work earlier this evening by one of our guests daughter who had been insect spotting at the tents and she had spotted some “white checkered butterflies”, a “greenfly” and a “zebra jumping spider”. Absolutely amazing and thanks for sharing your fantastic pictures with us. You never stop learning.

A trip to Ellerton Lake whilst you stay with us, I would highly recommend. Great fun for the whole family but be sure to book your slot as they often get booked up quickly (just 15-20 minutes from the tents).

Less than a week to go before the "Richmond Festival weekend" - https://www.richmondmayfest.org/saturday-2025 . It is all about music, getting dressed up and just absorbing the atmosphere and surroundings. The weather forecast is looking perfect as well. Come and join us and let your hair down. The festival features a variety of events including music, dance, drama, and hands-on activities, many of which are free. Highlights include a May Fair at Richmond Castle, a MayFest Ceilidh, and a MayFest Parade.

MayFest Saturday is all about music. Busking Day all around the town, Musical Coffee Morning, FolkFest, medieval music concert, singing workshops...
