The area immediately around No 2 is primarily forestry land with almost endless opportunities for walking, off road cycling and fishing, with necessary permits. The property is situated approximately 23 miles from Oban (often and not without good reason, known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland and the Gateway to the Isles) on National Cycle Route 78, The Caledonia Way. Within an hour’s drive of N
o 2, there are many historical and scenic places to visit e.g. Kilmartin Glen, Crinan Canal, Tayvallich and other coastal villages popular with the sailing community. For those partial to Uisge Beatha (water of life) there are also a number of distilleries within easy reach or a short ferry trip from Oban. No 2 has recently undergone some renovations, including a newly refurbished bathroom and will offer comfortable, centrally heated, accommodation for up to 4 people:
• Sitting room, overlooking Loch Awe with wood burning stove and dining area
• Double bedroom overlooking Loch Awe
• King/twin bedroom (can be made up as required – please confirm configuration at least one week before arrival)
• Fitted kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer
• Newly refurbished bathroom with electric shower
• Wi-fi
• Large garden with patio/seating area. The garden is not fully enclosed so small children need to be closely supervised. A small BBQ is available.
• No smoking
• No pets
• Please Note that as No 2 is served by a private water supply so bottled water for drinking is strongly advised. An initial supply of bottled water will be provided. The water system is maintained and tested regularly.
