Today, we honour the courage and sacrifice of all those who contributed to Victory in Europe, a defining moment in our shared history, now 80 years on.

As the VE80 Commemorations unfold, we reflect on the immense bravery of the veterans and armed forces who brought an end to the conflict in Europe, securing peace and freedom for future generations.

We are reminded of the words of those present as the war in Europe ended:
"There was no ‘them and us’ - just us. We danced in the streets as one."

Their legacy lives on in our collective memory and continues to inspire. At Star Live, we pause to pay tribute and express our deepest gratitude to these remarkable individuals.

🔥Red Bull Featured: Star Live delivers multi-tiered audience experience for BMX fans

This weekend, Star Live delivered a striking, multi-level viewing wall for Red Bull Featured - an innovative BMX competition that electrified Manchester Central.

Designed to elevate the live experience in every sense for the spectators, our Starlok based structure featured integrated stair wells and cantilevered galleries for DJ’s and judges, respectively. High-impact lighting, and full-surface branding was added that brought the Red Bull identity to life.

It wasn't just about sight lines - it was about creating atmosphere, theatre, and energy to match the athletes' gravity-defying performances on the course.
A proud moment for our team, and another exciting collaboration with our client People &Co on behalf of Red Bull.

🎵🇮🇳 The Mighty VerTech Stage rocks Lollapalooza India 2025! 🤘🇮🇳

A 25m Star Live VerTech stage returned to Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse last weekend (8-9 March), as the main stage for Book My Show's Lollapalooza India. For its second outing at the festival, the locally owned stage was reconfigured to suit the specific show requirements of headliners Shawn Mendes and Green Day and featured front gable branding by the event sponsor.

Book My Show's inventory of Star Live hardware was also drawn upon to provide two 21m triple cage follow spots, audio delays for the main stage, and two 16m single cage systems for Stage 2.

Jay Neil, Star Live’s International Operations Director, led our support team and continues to provide operational expertise while training local technicians - part of our ongoing knowledge transfer initiative that will gradually transition full operations to the local team as they build proficiency with the system.

We're particularly proud that our VerTech stage is the first European, all-steel stage system permanently based in India, representing a significant milestone for event infrastructure in the region. Star Live's branded hardware is setting new standards for live events across India, combining international quality with local operation.

Star Live made a swift return to Alexandra Palace on Friday, providing Back on your Heads with upstage screen support for the latest evolution of Sub Focus’s live show, Circular Sound.

Tommy Sheals-Barrett, Director at Back on your Heads, explained:
“Ally Pally is a fantastic venue with unique rigging considerations that encouraged us to think outside the box. We needed a solution to reduce weight on the roof while maintaining the show’s sleek, unobstructed design without traditional ground support masts.

“Star Live nailed the brief for a cantilevered screen support structure and from an audience perspective, you'd have no idea that structure was even there. The whole process from start to finish was slick and easy, as always.”

To meet Tom’s brief, we used our bespoke Starlok and truss support system to deliver the additional upstage rigging capacity, ensuring a seamless integration of the dynamic visuals that define this groundbreaking production.

Witnessing thousands of fans experience the immersive audiovisual journey reminded us why we're passionate about event production. The seamless mix of sound and visuals demonstrates what's possible when technical expertise meets artistic innovation. Launching the third season of Apple TV+’s Slow Horses with Setsquare Creative was anything but '3rd Time Unlucky.'
Thanks to the Star Live team's precision and finesse, the brand activation sailed down the Thames flawlessly, docking at the MI6 building without a hitch.
No second or third chances needed when Star Live and Setsquare are on board. We crafted a strong and secure foundation, ensuring Setsquare's installation stood tall and proud. Our scaffold framework, with cladding brackets, boasted a minimal design to let Setsquare's creativity shine without interference. Taking wind speeds into account, we guaranteed a stable ex*****on on the Thames – day and night.
In just a day, we built it, and in another, we de-rigged it.

Dazzling moments in Singapore at Zoukout's 20th Edition, thanks to Star Live's 20m VerTech stage! 🌟 Specially configured to complement Live Legends' futuristic design, our stage system flawlessly supported over 30 tonnes of production, featuring an intricately rigged main video screen and scenic surround set at a 45-degree angle around the stage support towers.
Artists took the spotlight on a custom steel frame rolling DJ module, smoothly navigating the central video portal.
Constructed just steps away from the ocean, the delivery team worked in tropical conditions with the VerTech stage providing robust protection against the daily downpours, ensuring a seamless performance for both tech and performers.
This landmark event marked the regional debut of our award-winning VerTech stage in Asia. A huge shoutout to the promoter, AEG Asia, and the dedicated production teams whose support made this event truly memorable. Watch this space as we announce more international projects soon! 🚀

👊 RIOT GAMES League of Legends World Finals were last month and saw the team T1 Org from South Korea lift their fourth World's trophy. 🇰🇷
Star Live was thrilled to deliver the 40m wide structural grid that held all the screens and lighting that were too heavy for the venue roof at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. With a mind-blowing total of 3,300 LED screen panels, it was quite the show!
In 2024, the UK will welcome the final to the iconic O2 Arena. After the success of the Mid-season Invitational, also hosted in London earlier this year, expectations are already very high for the 2024 final!

and today we only go back a couple of years, to when Star Live started working with Butlin's on the first Studio 36. Aptly named after the year Billy Butlin founded the family-run business, Star Live acted as Principal Contractor to deliver the all-weather, highly versatile event space across all three resorts. The turnkey solution delivered the finished structure, including enhanced HVAC systems, specially designed state-of-the-art AV, bespoke stages and rigging grids.
Used for conferences and events, exhibitions and gala dinners, the three Studio 36 structures have provided the Butlin's Group with over 8,200m² of additional space.

and today we're reminiscing about the incredible brand activation we created for Iris Worldwide's launch of Samsung's digital playground, 'Samsung KX' in 2019!

We built a one-of-a-kind, 9-metre tall "vertical stage" using three shipping containers. This unique stage was designed in a 9:16 format, perfect for filming with mobile phones held in portrait mode!

The finished stage was an absolute showstopper, showcasing three storeys of tech and performance space to a crowd of 2,000 people.

We're proud to have been a part of this epic event that brought cutting-edge technology and amazing experiences to life and have kept pushing boundaries and creating unforgettable moments since!

Star Live was created in summer 2019 from the merger of four established and respected businesses; Star Events, Mobile Promotions, Beautiful Minds and BluePeg - all outstanding successes in their own fields. The opportunity to offer clients significant added value and complementary services in a rapidly evolving event landscape appealed to all of the business founders.

Star Events has been designing and building staging and rigging for major music, sporting and cultural events in the UK and Europe for more than 40 years. Mobile Promotions are industry pioneers in the use of mobile trailers, road shows and brand activations. Beautiful Minds created a new breed of event staffing and brand ambassador agency. BluePeg reimagined brand partnerships for music and festivals.
