Girls’ trips really are good for the soul… ☀️🍹💛
Last month, four lovely friends and I escaped to the beautiful island of Menorca for some sunshine, laughter and making memories. And I have to say… it was a few firsts for me!
For the very first time, I flew from Bournemouth Airport with TUI, and what an absolute breeze it was. No stressful motorway queues, just a lovely leisurely drive, parking close by, security that took just minutes and a relaxed little airport without the usual crowds. From arriving at the airport to sitting with a coffee before boarding, the whole experience was effortless. Safe to say Bournemouth has become my airport of choice! ✈️
The airport continues to grow too. Alongside TUI and Ryanair, Jet2 has transformed the choice of holidays available, adding a wealth of sunshine destinations including Majorca, Menorca, Tenerife, Rhodes, Corfu, Faro, Madeira and many more, with even more routes introduced as demand has grown. It’s fantastic to have much more choice right on our doorstep in the South West.
Our home for the week was the wonderful Comitas Isla del Aire Apartments in Punta Prima, and I honestly couldn’t fault it. Spacious, modern, exceptionally clean apartments with our own private garden, just a gentle stroll from one of Menorca’s most beautiful beaches.
The warm welcome - complete with a glass of Prosecco 🍾 🥂, incredibly friendly staff and peaceful surroundings made it perfect for our friends relaxing getaway.
As for Menorca… wow 🤩 Picture powder-soft white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters and endless sunshine. Days were spent bronzing on the beach, cooling off in the sea, sipping Aperol Spritz, devouring more watermelon than I care to admit, and simply pressing pause on everyday life.
Sometimes all you need is sunshine, your favourite people and absolutely no agenda. 💙
Needless to say, we’ll definitely be back… although plans for next year’s girls’ trip are already underway, and I have a feeling some of us are trying to stretch it to 10
days this time! 😉
