A fun (to some!) fact about me… I lived in Nice, France whilst I was at university. Monte-Carlo was a place I regularly visited. Full of opulence, glamour and the beautiful Riveria as a back drop.
Monte-Carlo is a great base for exploring.

Here’s the hotel you always dreamed of: hotel «Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo – The Leading Hotels of the World» is located in Monaco. This hotel is located in walking distance from the city center. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Plage du Pont de Fer, Matisse Museum and Place Garibaldi.

AT THE HOTEL 🏨

You can stop by the bar. Taste the local cuisine and have a rest in the restaurant. If you can’t live without coffee, drop by the cafe. Free Wi-Fi is available on the territory. Ask for more information when checking in.

If you travel by car, you can park in a parking zone. Also, the following services are available for guests at the hotel: a massage room, a sauna, a solarium, a steam bath, a spa center and a doctor. Guests who love doing sports will be able to enjoy a fitness center, a gym and a diving club. You won’t be bored as at the hotel you will find a casino and a library.

Here, you can treat yourself with water procedures as there will be a pool, an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. For participants of business meetings, there is a conference hall. There are playrooms for children at the hotel. They will be having so much fun that you might have to spend the evening with adults. My top 3 travel accessory must haves …

1) a decent travel Jewellery case. I love the brand for travel cases. These can be personalised with your initials.

2) packing cubes. If you haven’t tried them yet then run, don’t walk! I buy them in a colour per each person in my family. We keep the kids clothes pretty much in their packing cubes all holiday. A top tip… when you’re home from holiday keep an eye on things you never used. They need to come off your packing list for next time.

3) a plug extender with usb ports incase there’s no sockets near your bed/in a sensible location. You can charge whilst using the sockets for other things at the same time.

One of my favourite childhood holiday memories is a holiday in Tenerife when I must have been about 4 years old. My Dad (a lifeguard as a late teenager) was a strong swimmer and would help teach me and other kids how to swim, encouraging them to be independent and get confident. You don’t realise these things until you’re older.

I also have a really strong memory of the first time I experienced room service and we’d ordered eggs - the smell of a fried egg 🍳 whilst abroad is just a different smell isn’t it!

I also remember my Dad pushing a restaurant wheelie bin back up a hill after driving into it and accidentally sending it down a hill whilst we were in Majorca!

The Swan Hotel & Spa Newby Bridge 📍South Lakes, Lake District UK

Currently reviewing this wonderful family and dog friendly hotel in The Lake District.
The Swan Hotel has so much to offer; hotel and cottage accommodation (we chose one of the “Nest’s” for our visit) which offer either b&b or self catering options if you’re in a Nest.

The hotel has distinct styling - imagine Cath Kidston meets Joules meets Designers Guild meets Miami Beach house and you’re there!
Things we love; the spa, the kids playground, proximity to the shoreline of the lake, the walkable railway line (SO fun!) the boats, the pizzas, the food… you get the picture.

Ikos Olivia📍Halkidiki 🇬🇷

So good, we’re going again! Whilst we’re on a roll we have booked a week’s stay back at Ikos Olivia.

If you like 5 star All Inclusive holiday options on the beach then Ikos offers so much. Part of the group, this is the sister brand that offers an AI option.
We love the variety of places to eat, the sports available for the kids, the pools and the variety of room types. As our kids get older, having some outdoor space with your room is a real plus.
We stayed at Ikos Aria this year and loved it.

La Folie Douce Hotel,📍Chamonix 🇫🇷

Just Booked for my clients looking for a long weekend before Easter next year.

As you might expect, being part of the Folie Douce franchise there is always something by way of entertainment to keep your energy levels up and to give you an unforgettable trip.

On a personal note, as a non skier (the only one in my family) I often look for places that give a little more than room & slopes. Chamonix has lots going on and is easy to navigate.

The holiday that started it all ✈️ 🇬🇷

As a family we love to travel.
We are a mixture - I have lived abroad in 🇫🇷 & 🇪🇸as a student and appreciate the authentic experience of a new country. My husband is Mr Chill … wanting peace, a little bit of luxury and steady cold 🍻!
Our kids love sport, trying interesting new foods and a good swimming pool (if it’s a sun holiday) or plenty of open space to ski/snowboard.
