Today I had the pleasure of guiding a lovely group of Dutch travelers through the ancient city of Butrint. 🌿🏛️
Walking together through centuries of history, surrounded by nature and the stories of past civilizations, made for a truly special day. What I enjoyed most was not only sharing the history of this remarkable place, but also the conversations, smiles, and moments we shared along the way.

In the shade of ancient Butrint, curiosity came alive at the Lion Gate.
I asked the group to look closely at the carved stone relief and guess which animals were hidden within it. Suddenly, everyone became an explorer of history — eyes searching the weathered stone, phones and cameras raised, minds traveling back thousands of years.
The Lion Gate is more than just an entrance; it is a silent storyteller from the ancient world. Its famous relief, showing a lion attacking a bull, once symbolized strength, protection, and power for the city of Butrint. Standing there today, surrounded by nature and history, it felt as if the stones themselves were inviting us to decode their secrets.
