Our once dark and dated cloakroom has had a huge glowup. I’m officially in love.

Just on the lookout for the perfect blind to frame the view from the window which now floods the room with natural light.

We previously used this space as our store room whilst we were waiting for everything to come together so kept the curtains closed. It now brings so much light into the space and into the hallway too. It’s almost a shame to put something up but it just needs that final finishing touch.

I’m sure our guests from hereon in are going to love it too ☺️

I’m soooo happy! Our gloomy old room which we have tried endlessly to get in order and check is getting its make over. I will actually be able to put my hand to things without having to spend half an hour moving another million and one things out the blumming way 😍

A few before and progress pics…. New worktop hopefully being delivered this week and then it will be ready for our lovely guests to use too.

Can’t wait for it to be totally finished but in the meantime I better get back to the gardening

Two of our latest reviews for the Cottage and new limestone chipping delivered and laid today making a gorgeous backdrop for the lavender which never fails to impress.

Good morning!!

Gosh what a heatwave. I forgot I took these earlier in June. There are some benefits of getting up for an early cup of tea.

The garden at 4.57am….filled with the dawn chorus and the sun peeping through.

Yes. I definitely did go back to bed and slept like a baby…..

Today has been alllll about the garden and I’ve loved every minute.

I’m very lucky to have been handed the reins of a beautiful cottage garden….45 years in the making and it was lovely to pick a pretty bouquet for not only the cottage but also my gorgeous mommy. It’s fair to say we’re both as pleased as punch with them.

June….definitely my favourite month 🥰

We’re so lucky to have such wonderful guests deciding on our Cottage for their holidays.

Our current guests are all geared up to enjoy the The Ironbridge WWII Weekend and we’ll be there too joining in the fun.

It’s on this weekend and you’re guaranteed a great time. Fingers crossed for the weather 🥰

Bit of gardening today and found another gorgeous vista.

Chuffed to bits to be able to see the world famous Coalbrookdale Viaduct. What a privilege 🥰

Busy weekend here at the Cottage.

We’ve called in the big boys to give us a hand on our high terrace area. It’s a great spot. The views are lovely and yet it’s tucked away and I feel like I’m in a tree house spying on the view instead of people.

It had, once been quite lovely. You can tell but then over the years it become a little bit lost and a place to put things for another day. Well today was just that, another day.

We started at 8.30am sharp. They removed the huge rotting tree stump, we cleared the area, retained everything hoping to make good use of everything. Sadly despite our best endeavours…no treasure was found!

Gone are the huge old cement slabs, broken pots and bits of random guttering. The little bothy is getting lots of attention too. She’s going to be so cute again. All original, just a little less weathered shall we say.

We’re hoping it’ll take a few weeks and then we’ll be able to show you it all finished. Our guests will then have another area they can sit with a nice glass of wine or a quiet cuppa, watching the world and the weather go by.

I honestly can’t wait to show you more….
