A great visit to shropshirepetalfields this week with my sister. A lovely morning out walking through the delphiniums, sunflowers and woodland walk, the scent was immense! A quick visit to david_austin_roses afterwards and the day was complete. ❤️ ❤️

Harvest 2025 has officially begun here at Charity Farm. Gerry and Henry have been in full swing combining today. The Oilseed R**e is grown specifically for unilever as part of their programme to purchase sustainable and regenerative UK crops. So less soil disturbance, supporting biodiversity and reducing the environmental impact of crop protection and fertiliser applications through a precision and tailored approach.
This could be coming your way in Hellmans mayonnaise or Flora brands. Please buy British to support your local farms!

Sharing our recent makeover project with you. The Courtyard cottage bedrooms and kitchen have had a refresh. This beautiful two bedroom cottage is ground floor, dog friendly and exudes warmth with its characterful beams.
We hope you like the makeover too.

Having had some new followers recently I thought I would reintroduce us. Gerry and I own and manage the cottages having lived in Burlton for nearly 15 years. We also farm here, we grow wheat, oats and oilseed r**e alongside many environmental schemes too. Our two sons Henry and Oliver also help with any maintenance projects but are often spotted working on the farm or playing cricket in the garden. Skye the dog is now five and loves other dogs staying here!
In our free time Gerry and the boys are often found on the golf course. Skye and I will be out for a run!
We truly welcome you here, we live next to the cottages so always on hand if you need us, but give you privacy if you don’t. We hope to see you in Burlton soon.

We have three dog friendly cottages so please don’t leave your four legged family member at home. Each dog friendly cottage can have up to two dogs. These beautiful four stayed last month when their family came to stay in all four properties, “Exclusively Burlton”. By booking all four properties you can have up to six well behaved dogs stay with you.
We keep one property dog free for anybody who has pet allergies. Although we are on a farm, there is no livestock to worry about.
There are lots of walks locally or discover the local Meres and Canal network of North Shropshire.

Such a busy week here at the cottages. Last weekend we hosted Midlife on the Mat with Donna a retreat that had so much energy, they were dancing as well as practising yoga and pilates.
Marcin from ACT Studios has been here taking professional photographs of our new outside BBQ and bar area, kindly built by Gerry. Not sure how Marcin managed the first beer and not Gerry in there, we need to rectify that!
We are counting down to Easter, we do have some availability and the offers are now live. Barn Owl View is available from Easter Saturday, sleeps 6 in three en-suite bedrooms, dog friendly and accessibility friendly.

Relax, unwind in your very own Spa 🌿

The Spa facilities are complimentary for guests to use throughout their stay, making the truly relaxing experience at Burlton Cottages unique.

By using glass walls, we have brought the outside in. So, unwind and recline on the ergonomic designed loungers whatever the weather – the Spa is heated to 32 degrees all year round. It is incredibly peaceful and has woodland views with plenty of bird life to watch, whats not to love? 🌳

Guests certainly enjoyed celebrating in The Studio and loved the food from Rodriguez Events last week. The food was so “flavoursome, well presented and plenty of it” was the feedback I received!
