Our guests enjoy a loaf of bread made with Mungoswells Malt & Milling flours.

For three generations, the McDowalls have farmed the land at Mungoswells, investing over a century in its stewardship. What began as a mixed farm, with both crops and livestock, gradually evolved into a fully arable enterprise.

Today, Mungoswells is a unique field-to-flour operation, where Angus and the team produce flour using grain that’s grown, harvested, milled, and packaged entirely on site.

We're absolutely delighted to say that from now until 5th October the Trossachs Explorer bus service is available from right outside the cottage, allowing guests the chance leave the car behind sometimes.
