The Cornwall Air Ambulance is ran completely by donations and charity events, with no government funding. In the past 18 months they have hit their target of £2.85 Million, for a new helicopter.

If you love looking up at the night sky then this is a fantastic time to join us at our beautiful location. Just 2.5 miles from Sun Haven is the National Trust site at Carnewas, Bedruthan. This designated Dark Sky Discovery Site is the perfect place to see the magnificent show that we are experiencing at the moment. Whether it's the Sturgeon Moon tonight, the final full moon of the summer, or the Perseids meteor shower, one of the brightest and fastest showers of the year, which reaches a peak on Tuesday with up to 100 meteors an hour streaking across the sky. Look for Jupiter and Venus, shining extra bright in the coming week or wait until the new moon on 23rd August and enjoy the last of the Perseids.
We might even get lucky with a glimpse of the incredible Aurora Borealis after the latest geomagnetic storms.
