💜 WELCOME TO CALM IN A CASE CIC 💜
We are delighted to introduce Calm in a Case CIC, a newly established Community Interest Company with one simple aim: to make good-quality sensory resources more accessible and affordable for the children and young people who need them.
🌈 Who are we?
Calm in a Case CIC has been created to support children and young people across the UK with additional learning needs, disabilities, neurodivergence, sensory processing needs and emotional regulation needs.
We also want to support the people around them — parents and carers, schools, educational settings, healthcare professionals and community organisations.
We know that sensory resources can make an enormous difference to a child's everyday life. They can provide comfort, encourage regulation, support concentration and engagement, reduce anxiety and help children manage environments or situations they may otherwise find overwhelming.
Unfortunately, putting together a good range of sensory resources can also be expensive.
We want to help change that.
🧳 What is Calm in a Case?
At the heart of what we do will be our Sensory Suitcases — carefully selected collections of useful, engaging and practical sensory resources brought together in one portable case.
We will also be developing different sensory kits and individual sensory products, giving families and organisations the opportunity to choose resources appropriate to their needs and budget.
Our ranges may include:

💙 Fidget and manipulation toys
💚 Visual and light-up sensory items
🩷 Calming and emotional-regulation resources
💛 Sensory balls and movement resources
🩵 Ear defenders and other practical sensory aids
🌈 Carefully selected sensory toys and activities
Our aim isn't simply to fill a suitcase with toys. We want to create thoughtfully selected sensory collections that are useful, practical and offer good value for money.
💻 Where will you be able to buy from us?
Calm in a Case will primarily operate online, allowing us to reach families, schools and organisations throughout the UK.
We're only just beginning, so over the coming weeks we'll be sharing our products, developing our ranges and showing you what will be available.
💜 But we're not an ordinary business.
Calm in a Case is a Community Interest Company (CIC).
That means we have been established to trade for a community purpose, rather than simply to generate private profit.
Any surplus generated will be used to further our community aims — including developing and improving sensory resources, increasing access to affordable sensory support and, where funding allows, providing subsidised or donated sensory resources.
We also hope to work with schools, organisations and community partners as Calm in a Case grows.
