Catherine and her family have just returned from a fantastic week at Crystal Waters, Lefkada, and it sounds like it was exactly the relaxing getaway they needed. They loved the chilled atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful accommodation. A boat hire day was a real highlight, and renting a car allowed them to explore the stunning west coast beaches, some only accessible by water taxi. An early 6am departure from Leeds on Friday saw us heading for Folkestone, where we boarded Le Shuttle and made our way across to France. By 6pm we were enjoying dinner in our first stop, the beautiful city of Bruges.
Iโ€™ve always loved Bruges and couldnโ€™t wait to show the family around. We squeezed in a visit to the famous Beer Wall before closing time, sampled a coconut beer, explored the gorgeous streets and stocked up on enough chocolate to keep us going for quite some time! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ˜†
Itโ€™s just as stunning as I remembered and the perfect start to our family adventure.
After enjoying Saturday morning in the city, it was time to continue our journey to stop number two...
