Normandy Farmhouses Stunning self-catering farmhouse in Northern France with private heated swimming pool & WiFi

Our two magnificent self-catering farmhouses are perfect for a holiday in the most beautiful, easily accessible part of France. Close to miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, and each with private swimming pools, they are ideal for family holidays and celebrations. LE MESNIL GONFROY is an ancient honey-coloured stone farmhouse peacefully set in an acre of mature lawned garden. Sleeping up to 14 in six

bedrooms, the house oozes character with its old beams, tiled floors and monumental stone fireplace. French windows lead out onto a south facing terrace and the magnificent heated swimming pool is privately situated on the lower terrace. LA GERMAINIERE is a lovely 300 year old rural retreat set among fields at the end of a half mile private drive. Sleeping up to 12 people in six bedrooms, this farmhouse also has enormous character with its old beams, stone walls and huge Normandy fireplace. The south facing terrace is a real suntrap and the beautiful heated private pool helps to provide a most relaxing holiday retreat.

A Normandie apple tart is something very special…

Tarte aux pommes, miel et amandes

5 personnes

250 g de pâte feuilletée
6 petites pommes
70 g de beurre
2 cuillères à soupe de miel
100 g de sucre
100 g d'amandes effilées

Préchauffer le four à 210°C.

Granir un moule à tarte avec la pâte feuilletée.

Couper les pommes en lamelles moyennes et les disposer sur la pâte.

Mettre au four une vingtaine de minutes.

Dans une casserole, faire fondre le beurre à feu doux. Ajouter le miel, le sucre et les amandes.

Napper le dessus de la tarte avec l'appareil encore chaud,

Remettre au four quelques minutes pour faire dorer le tout.

We love this new restaurant we found La Vielle Digue at Blainville sur Mer. It’s open April to November and has great atmosphere with tables outside overlooking the dunes and the coast. There’s an amazing collection of old clocks on one wall and last but not least their menu is amazing….just delicious lobster, crab and shell fish harvested locally.…can’t wait to go back!
