Whatever your preferred type of off-road riding, we have it all here in Scotland. The purpose-built trail centre at Laggan Wolftrax Centre has over 20 miles of trails with spectacular views of the Monadliath mountains. There's something to suit all trail riders with a mix of mellow green trails, new flowy blues, and the technical reds and blacks. Plus there's bike hire and a great cafe!
We have dedicated bike facilities for guests at our self-catering cottage less than 30 minutes drive away (link in bio), plus natural trails straight from the door too.

We love the summer days for hill walking 😎⛰. Walk uphill through the gradually thinning pine forest to reach the open hillside. Continue on, as the path gets rougher, the landscape opens up and you reach the summit where the views go for miles in every direction. Enjoy that picnic!

Glen Tromie - a beautiful place to explore by bike from Kingussie. There’s a brilliant loop that joins with Glen Feshie or through the Gaick Pass to Blair Atholl 🚴‍♀️

We can't wait to get out on the water again this summer! Head out onto the calm loch on your paddle board, the osprey calling high above. As you glide silently through the shallows, the small fish dart into the reeds beneath you. Too warm? No problem - slip quietly into the water and float for a moment, enjoying the sun on your face.

We have been fortunate to recently be awarded a MoreWoods grant to allow us to plant trees on land up at WildStuff HQ. In the longer term, we hope that this will attract more wildlife to the area, improve the habitat, and create a nicer place for your holiday.

The initial planting of 300 young trees took place last week, fortunately just after the scorching hot weather, and just before the torrential rain - ideal planting conditions!

We have planted a mixture of alder, aspen, downy birch, silver birch, hazel, holly, elder, rowan, sessile oak, cherry, hawthorn, blackthorn, and goat willow. These have been protected by Rainbow Terra biodegradable tree shelters, and biodegradable vole guards with Trico deer repellent sprayed onto any exposed leaves.
It's been hard work, and we're committed to looking after the trees for the next 30 years, so we're looking forwards now to watching them grow.

Some swimming spots in the wild Scottish landscape are particularly special, and this remote lochan surrounded by towering mountains is one of those places. Explore your favourites from Aonach this summer with the help of the excellent book Swimming Wild in Scotland by Alice Goodridge, a copy of which is in the house for your perusal!

Summer is on the way 😎 and we're looking forward to some sunny walks here in the . Stroll gently through the heather-scented landscape as the sun dips towards the distant hills. The only sounds are the myriad bees and the skylark calling above. Arrive back at Aonach with photo memories, dusty boots and a renewed soul.
