Housekeeping Team Members
• Shifts Mondays and Fridays. Between 5.5-11 hours per week depending on season.
• Hours 09:15 to 14:45 or finish (never past 16:00 guest arrival time).
• Guaranteed minimum shifts per year.
• £15.50 per hour.
• Ideally live within a 10-mile radius of NE66 3HQ.
• Own transport is essential due to rural location/no public transport.
• Team members commuting over 10 miles receive a £5 travel top-up per shift.
• Holiday pay accrued.

Although not essential, experience in cleaning to 5* standards in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the hospitality industry would be helpful. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage your work to strict timescales is a must.
You'll have a can-do attitude and be happy working on your own as well as being part of the team. You'll enjoy following structured processes and be resilient to a direct approach and constructive criticism - a good sense of humour is an absolute must! Our current team find the hours work well around other part-time positions, school times etc.

Not every month is like June for the welcome flowers.

This month Gertrude Jekyll and Pink perpetua roses, unnamed but unrivalled paeonies with some deutzia and alchimilla and cirsium.

It’s a pleasure to grow them and a pleasure to put them in the cottages. How can you not love an English summer?

Brunton House garden stretches over 3 areas, and then into the woods and fields of the farm. There are plenty of footpaths, and the new ‘Orchard walk’.

An incredible supper club last night in the Blacksmith’s, created, cooked and hosted by Grace Robertson . Guests from Brunton House and the Granary had booked in and were lyrical in their praise afterwards.

We are so lucky to have Grace running these occasional supper clubs at Brunton - keep your eyes peeled. She also runs the Embleton village shop, with her sister-in-law Jo, which has excellent provisions and day to day essentials, plus newspapers and the PO. Give a busy woman a job…
