Daylesford has always held a special place in my heart. Long before I moved to the Cotswolds, every visit felt like coming home and brought with it a real sense of calm. Since living here, my connection to the brand has only grown, along with my appreciation for everything it stands for.

I’ve also have the privilege of being a founder member of The Club by Bamford, which has given me a deeper understanding of the sustainability, craftsmanship and thoughtful approach behind the wider brand.

Set in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, Gleneagles is one of those rare places that genuinely works for the whole family without compromising on quality, service or atmosphere.

Whilst known for its golf and beautiful setting, what I really love about Gleneagles is everything beyond that. The estate is built around the outdoors and country life, making it somewhere you can properly switch off, slow down and spend real time together as a family.

From horse riding and falconry to fishing, swimming and endless outdoor activities for children, there is something for everyone. Despite the level of luxury, it never feels too formal or intimidating, just warm, relaxed and exceptionally well done.

Hidden within a 19th-century fortress, Cap Rocat’s warm sandstone walls and quiet courtyards hold centuries of stories, now softened by light, breeze, and stillness. Nothing rises above the cliffs, so it melts into the landscape, as if it has always belonged there.

Former soldiers’ quarters have become serene suites with private terraces carved into the rock, where the horizon stretches endlessly. 💛 CASA BONAVITA 💛

📍 Attard, Malta

Owned by Christopher and Suzanne Sharp, co-founders of The Rug Company. This 18th Century former family home has been beautifully restored into a 17 room boutique hotel.

I recently sat down with Christopher to find out more about this exciting new opening. Casa Bonavita was bought by the couple in 2010 and used as their own family home whilst being carefully restored over the past 10 years. It wasn’t initially planned to open as a hotel but as time went on their passion to restore this beautiful building meant that they wanted to share it with others. With their very keen eye for design, they have created something completely unique on the island using local pottery artisans as well as hand-painted bespoke de Gournay wallpaper in the bar area.

The property is 20 minutes from Valetta and 10 minutes from Mdina. There are 2 pools, a spa with Hammam and steam room.

This is sure to be a very special place with many personal touches, more like staying in a private home rather than a traditional hotel.
