🌪️ After Storm Éowyn: Helping Nature Recover 🌿

Storm Éowyn has left a trail of fallen trees, eroded trails, and scattered debris across Ireland’s landscapes. It will be a long time before we recover from it's impact!

But we can all do our bit to help the land heal. 🌎💚

✨ Stick to Durable Surfaces – Avoid muddy or washed-out trails to prevent further erosion. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

🗑️ Pack It In, Pack It Out – Storms can scatter debris—if you see litter, take a moment to clean up! ♻️

🌱 Leave What You Find – Damaged plants and trees may look tempting to "fix," but nature knows how to heal itself. 🌳

🔥 Be Cautious with Fire – Downed trees may seem like free firewood, but they play a crucial role in the ecosystem. 🔥❌

🐾 Respect Wildlife – Storms disrupt habitats; give animals extra space as they recover. 🦊🦌

🙌 Be Kind to Each Other – Many communities and land managers are working hard to restore nature—support their efforts! 🏞️💙

Nature is resilient, and with small actions, we can make a big difference. 🌍💪 Let’s care for our wild places after Storm Éowyn.

Here at Rostrevor Men’s Shed, we know that sometimes you just need someone to talk to. It’s not always about gardening, building or fixing things—sometimes it’s about a good chat over a cuppa and connecting with others who get it.

Whether you’re up for a project or just want to sit and have a yarn, there’s always a spot here for you. No pressure, no obligations—just good company.

Give us a call or drop in for a cuppa. It’s amazing what a chat can do.

Let’s look out for each other—together, we’re stronger! 💪
