Your first BIG adventure doesn’t have to mean years of experience. ❄️

It could mean heading north of the Arctic Circle and finding yourself fat biking across frozen wilderness, ski touring through snow-covered landscapes and snowshoeing towards the legendary Three Nations Cairn - where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet.

An unforgettable 3 day ultra running adventure across the Shetland Islands
Designed to be achievable at 3mph, this walker friendly ultra is perfect for runners and trekkers alike.

You will travel under your own steam from the south to the north of Shetland, experiencing dramatic coastal trails, rugged cliff tops, and stunning "tropical looking" beaches.

Wildlife you can spot: many seasonal birds, puffins, whales, dolphins, orcas and the famous Shetland ponies.

Part 1 of our Sea to Summit UK trilogy - Scafell Pike! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Complete the national peaks but in a unique way!

Designed to be accessible for every day adventurers, you will travel from the sea to the top of England's highest peak, Scafell Pike!

It can be tackled as a standalone ultramarathon, or as part of the full trilogy, Ben Nevis & Yr Wyddfa to earn the coveted Gold Trilogy Medal! 🏅

One of our longest standing Rat Race events - the Scotland Coast to Coast remains our crown jewel of adventure. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This 100 mile multi sport challenge takes you from Nairn, journeying past historic Cawdor Castle, Loch Ness, Glen Coe & Glen Nevis - you will be cycling, running, hiking and kayaking your way to the end - either as a 1 day epic, or over a slightly more manageable 2 days.

More women than ever are taking on challenges and adventures. Women have played a HUGE part in the running boom we have seen over the last few years, but there is still work to do. When you start looking at other sports such as cycling you begin to see the gap open up again...

Our goal is to facilitate the best environment for women to thrive; safety, support, facilities, equipment and knowledge sharing. Across every discipline, across every country and every race.

More women on the startline, more women in adventure. More women realising they can achieve whatever they put their mind to!

Rat Race HQ - company conference day! 🙌

One of the best things about Rat Race is the people behind the adventures.

We’re lucky to have a hugely talented team spread out across the country, working remotely to create, deliver and shout about some pretty epic adventures. But when you work remotely, it’s even more important to make time to get everyone together.

A chance to take stock of the last year, share ideas, celebrate the wins, talk about what’s next and get everyone pulling in the same direction.

And because we’re Rat Race… obviously we couldn’t just sit around a conference table all day. So we chucked everyone in a raft and sent them down some white water in Wales!

Here’s to the people behind the adventures - and whatever we’re getting ourselves into next. 👀

Iceland Coast to Coast | Part 1

Once upon a time in a land fairly far away, there was a group of Rat Racers who challenged themselves to cycle, run and raft across Iceland in 6 days.

So far they have biked across the black ash fields, packrafted down the Pjórsá, seen the partial solar eclipse, stayed in Icelandic hots and are now preparing to trek the Laugavegur Trail, making their way to the plane wreck on Black Sand Beach.
