Our Community Enjoy a relaxing break in the heart of Washington at The Victoria Inn. There is no hire charge and we have three rooms for you to choose from.

The inn is ran by Lee and Sharon who took over The Victoria in March 2020! 10 days before the first lock down. Although not an ideal situation to be in, we have worked it to our advantage and took the opportunity to completely revamp the inside of building, which has added extra charm to a wonderful place. The Victoria Inn has 6 en-suite guest rooms including a family room, that are perfect for a

break away. All our guestrooms have the following facilities:
•TV
•DVD player
•Bath or power shower
•Iron & ironing board
•Trouser press
•Hairdryer
•Tea and coffee making facilities

Bar & Kitchen

Relax and enjoy our cosy surroundings. There’s always something to keep you entertained in the pub, such as:
•Quizzes
•Screenings of football matches

The regulars love to get to know our guests who come to stay with us, so you’ll always be sure of a warm welcome at the bar. Why not book a special evening meal in our beautiful restaurant


Private Functions

Come to The Victoria Inn for your next special occasion. We offer an optional buffet service, or you can arrange your own catering. Take advantage of our Book and Cook service with our large double barbeque in the garden. You book and bring your own food to cook for your guests. Then we tidy up after! Travel Information

We are conveniently located next to a main bus route, giving you access to all of the top tourist attractions of the North East. The Victoria Inn is a two-minute drive from junction 64 of the A1 motorway and a six-minute drive from the A19 turn-off next to the Nissan car factory. You’re also just a short drive away from these major locations:
•15 minutes to both Sunderland and Newcastle city centres
•10 minutes to Chester-le-street
•20 minutes to Durham city centre
•20 minutes to Newcastle Airport
•15 minutes to Gateshead Metro Centre

So that’s it, our time at our lovely pub is over. It’s been an amazing 5 years. Being a part of our community has been our pleasure.
Looking back over the years, we’ve managed to fit so many lovely things in. It’s been a crazy rollercoaster of an adventure.

Covid!, Jubilee, coronation, fireworks, kids Christmas, Alzheimer’s and McMillian days to name a few ☺️

So many people have thanked us for what we have done for them but we need to thank you all so much for your massive support and love in everything we have done. You have had our back every step of the way. For that we will be forever grateful.

Thank you to our friends and family who have done literally anything we have asked of them from the very start, we couldn’t have done it without yous. From decorating to selling your souls on our events 🤣 Yous have been firm members of Team Vic from the start till the very end forever 😘😘

We’ve also made some amazing friends along the way, who will be in our lives and hearts forever.

So now is the time for The Jobling family to say goodbye to The Vic. We leave with our heads held high, proud of what we have achieved and the love we created. This was never just a business to us, it was our heart ❤️ We have always said the pub is our home, where everyone is welcome. This still stands for our front door but a brew is on the menu instead 😉

Our community means the world to us. Although we won’t be in the pub anymore, we are not planning on leaving your lives 😜 therefore we will be changing this page tomorrow to a community page ☺️

We don’t know where to start with this post…. What an amazing day we all had, it could not of been any better.

A massive thank you to you all for coming and sharing such a special day with us. The love was most definitely in the air 🥰🥰

Well done to our fabulous team, they worked sooooo damn hard all day and night ☺️

A huge big thank you to our beautiful friends old and new who clubbed together for our gorgeous gifts, we love them all. Lordore falls, I hope you’re ready for us. 🤣 We are so lucky to have you all in our lives. We might not have the pub anymore but we will have you in our lives forever.

Thought we would just let yous know that we are really looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for a beautiful day, surrounded by all of you our lovely friends.
Almost finished the preparations now, a little later than planned thanks to our lovely brewery not delivering our beer order today but not bothering to tell us it wasn’t coming until we rang later this afternoon ( sabotage seems probable 🤔) however after a few hours of absolute stress, we are sorted to keep you all hydrated 😜

See you all for our last big day, let go out with a bang on a massive high ☺️☺️

The pub opens at 1pm and the concert starts at 2pm.
