Innovation. Everywhere.

As we get ready for Series 2, we’re looking back at our first series.

In collaboration with LiuGong Machinery, we went behind the scenes to explore the technology, engineering and thinking shaping the next generation of plant.

From electrification and advanced manufacturing to the way new machines are developed, tested and brought to market, this is innovation at scale.

A look at where the future of plant is being built.

As fuel costs rise, every litre counts.

At Flannery Plant Hire, we operate the UK’s largest low carbon fleet, combining proven technology with Eco Operator Training and data-led insight to help customers reduce fuel consumption and improve efficiency on site.

Because innovation isn’t just about the machine. It’s about how it’s operated, how it performs, and how connected data and telematics turn insight into action.

Electric and Hybrid fleet. Smarter operation. Greater efficiency.

Building the projects of the future requires a supply chain that can demonstrate carbon reduction, not just talk about it.

Contact the Flannery team to find out more about our electric and hybrid fleet, fuel-saving insights and how we can help improve efficiency across your projects.

As Sponsors of Build Suffolk, we were proud to see Flannery represented by Odee Pessu on the Social Value Panel, joining industry leaders to discuss the best practices, opportunities and challenges of delivering meaningful social value across the region.

At Flannery, social value is about more than meeting commitments. It’s about creating real opportunities for people and making a lasting difference in the communities where we work.

From skills and training programmes and employment pathways to education engagement and community initiatives, we’re focused on delivering practical outcomes that have genuine impact.

It was great to share our experiences, hear different perspectives and contribute to the wider conversation around how we can continue to raise the bar for social value across construction.

A big thank you to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for hosting the day and bringing the industry together, and to Odee for representing Flannery and contributing to such an important conversation.

Something UK construction industry has never seen before.

Complete end to end electric infrastructure, a site of the future, part of our strategic partnership with Lower Thames Crossing , Bouygues Travaux Publics UK and Murphy

The UK’s largest concentration of zero-emission plant on a construction site, powered by a fully off-grid combination of SiteCharge Electric BESS and GeoPura Hydrogen units; underpinned by Hiboo x Flannery Plant Hire telematics integration partnership, making the whole operation visible and controllable.

As we step into the future, we must tackle problems totally, with innovation and investment.

Innovation, everywhere.

Another busy month of social value at Flannery, with plenty happening across employment, skills, wellbeing and community support.

We were proud to complete the Brent Good Work Standard programme, recognising our continued focus on creating a positive and inclusive workplace. From wellbeing to diversity, recruitment and career development, it reflects the work going on across the business to support our people and help them progress.

We also supported EKFB's Making Tracks into Construction Week, using our simulator van to help showcase to students the wide range of opportunities available across the construction industry.

Over four days, the event brought together:
• 1,500 students and job seekers
• 27 supply chain partners
• 32 schools and colleges, including mainstream, SEND and alternative provision settings

It was a brilliant opportunity to meet people considering their next steps, share insight into the industry and help create opportunities to enter the construction industry.

Elsewhere, Ben Seabright represented Flannery in the Only the Brave 10-mile mud run in Suffolk, raising money for our charity of choice, Air Ambulances UK.

We were joined by Sammy Lee, East Coast College Ambassador, and the team from East Coast College, who deliver our Lound Bootcamp, for a very muddy challenge in support of a fantastic cause.

From creating opportunities for the next generation to investing in our people and supporting vital local services, it’s been another month that shows what social value looks like in action.

A big well done to everyone who got involved and helped make it happen.

A welcome visit from the all-Ireland champions Mayo and the Sam Maguire Cup. 💚❤️

For a business built on strong Irish roots, and with the Flannery family's ties to Mayo, it was great to see a trophy that represents 75 years of hope, resilience and county pride.

The visit was a reminder of the strong sense of community and connection that Mayo people have carried with them, both at home and across generations in England. Those values remain a big part of Flannery Plant Hire and the Irish heritage we're proud of. ☘️

Congratulations to Mayo, 2026 All-Ireland Football Champions. Thank you for visiting our Wembley depot, it was fantastic to have you with us and share a small part of your championship journey.

Big careers can start with one just one opportunity.

That's why we are so excited to be part of Sizewell C's fantastic career event and to showcase the opportunities available across Flannery.

From Skills Bootcamps and operator training to upskilling and support for career changers, we’re helping people from all backgrounds build the skills, confidence and experience needed to take their next step into construction.

And with our Operator Skills Hub in nearby Needham Market, there are real opportunities right on the doorstep.

We can’t wait to meet the next generation of talent, share what a career in construction can offer and show that there’s a place for everyone in our industry.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

The truth is, some of the biggest battles are the ones nobody else can see. Many people carry struggles behind a smile, telling the world they’re “fine” while fighting challenges that feel overwhelming every single day.

That’s why changing the narrative starts with all of us. By checking in, listening without judgement, and creating space for honest conversations, we can help people know they don’t have to face those battles alone.

A simple conversation won’t solve everything, but it could be the first step. If you’re struggling, please remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Whatever you’re facing today, your life matters. You’re more than this moment, and you’re more than this pain.

From warehouse work to construction plant.

Inspired by Flannery's commitment to creating opportunities for women in construction, Hailey Bradley took the leap and began training at our Operator Skills Hub in Lound.

Now, after training locally, she's preparing for her first role on a local site.

This is what it's all about: giving local people the skills, confidence, and opportunities to build careers on projects in their own communities.

Because communities should benefit long after the last machine leaves site.
