Sponsoring Tycoons Allstars⭐

Wilson James recently sponsored Cheerleading team during their training for competition taking place in Orlando, United States.

The team were able to take part in two full days of training which made a big difference in the prepreation for the finals day. The head coach of the team Vanessa said ‘You helped make 48 dreams come true. Because of your backing, our athletes didn’t just compete—they excelled, they made memories they’ll never forget, and they felt truly supported every step of the way. It wasn’t just a donation—it was an investment in belief, in hard work, and in the kind of experience most athletes only ever dream of.’

The Tycoon Allstairs became global champions with 6x 1st place and 1x 2nd place crowning them the grand champions with the highest score of the entire competition.

Bronze Extra Mile Awards 🏆

Congratulations to Adam Hassan, Security Officer from the London Business School for receiving a Bronze Extra Mile Award, here he is being presented his award by Joe Crook, Head of Risk and Security.

Our second Congratulations goes to Ali Saleemi, Service Desk Analyst for also receiving a Bronze Extra Mile Award. Ali was presented his award by Hayley Lord, Senior Business Systems & Service Desk Manager.

Our final congratulations goes to Sophie Dixon, Marketing Executive and Maddie Dobson, Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive for both being presented with Bronze Extra Mile Awards. Here they are being presented with their awards by Meg Reed, Creative Solutions Director.

Proud to provide assistance to a 101 Year Old Veteran 💙

Yesterday we had the truly special experience providing airport assistance to Barbara Bunce, a 101-year-old WW2 veteran, accompanied by her daughter Elizabeth as she departed from Heathrow Terminal 3 having been in the UK for last week’s VE80 celebrations.

Colleagues from our assistance team, Craigan and Anju, said “It was an absolute honour to support Ms. Bunce throughout her journey. We ensured she received seamless assistance from landside to the gate. Our team coordinated closely to make the process as smooth and dignified as possible for both passengers”

We are especially proud of our teams who have continued to go above and beyond even while some of their colleagues are participating in a period of industrial action. Our priority remains delivering a safe and reliable service for passengers, especially those who rely on our support the most.

Additionally, as a further gesture of appreciation for Ms. Bunce’s service and remarkable life, we ensured she and Elizabeth were provided lounge access and cabin upgrades. Their gratitude was deeply moving, and it was a privilege to be part of making their travel experience so memorable.

Mental Health Awareness Week 💙

This Mental Health Week we are taking time to reflect on this years theme of ‘community’. At Wilson James we take pride in championing the importance of Mental Health and wellbeing. This year the Wilson James team have decided to present a Tea and Talk session with Ashley Bivens, Wellbeing Manager. The interactive session will explore the many benefits of supporting mental health in the workplace and help colleagues understand how to identify the signs that an employee may be struggling with their mental health, and how they can have an effective conversation with them about it.

Proud to be supporting the VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations 🇬🇧

Today marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, and is a moment to remember the end of conflict in Europe and honour those who secured peace in 1945. At Wilson James, members of our team have taken time to reflect on the sacrifices made and the freedoms we enjoy because of them.

As part of the national VE80 commemorations, we are very proud to have sponsored the replica Spitfire currently on display outside the West Steps of where we provide security services. Positioned in front of one of the UK’s most iconic landmarks, it invites all who pass to pause and reflect not just in remembrance but in the way we live and work for a more peaceful future.

The walk was a fantastic day filled with lots of laughs, suncream, and a few blisters!

Thank you to Chris Hatton from Havens Hospice who met the walkers at the finish line and congratulated the team for completing the walk and raising important funds for Havens Hospice.

Giving back to local communities this Easter 🐣

This Easter, the Security Teams across the CBRE portfolio wanted to give back in a meaningful way.

The team organised a collection of over 200 Easter Egg and over 135 colouring books, games, pens and pencils to put smiles on young faces. These were all donated to Little Havens, Benfleet and Queens Hospital Romford, park of the Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS trust.

The recipients were overwhelmed by our generosity, and the small part we played in making a child’s stay in a hospice and hospital that little bit brighter!
