Everyone was on top form, in top gear, and enjoyed a brilliant morning with Farmer James racing radio-controlled cars. There were amazing prizes up for grabs and well done to Jake Turner who won the top prize for the fastest lap.

This year's Budget couldn't have been more different from last year's "hokey-cokey" build-up. There were hardly any leaks, and the message was all about stability. But dig a little deeper and there's a clear pattern in where the money is coming from.

Earnings are being protected, and assets are paying more. Tax on property and savings income goes up again, so if you're a landlord, it's worth asking whether you should hold property personally or through a company.

Planning to sell your business? The lifetime limit for Business Asset Disposal Relief has been halved, so it's worth thinking about timing now. High-growth founders, on the other hand, get a new, more generous relief. It's hard not to see a line being drawn between the start-up and the established family business.

There's also good news. No changes to inheritance tax rates or reliefs means families can plan with a bit more certainty, for now at least.
