Well… this escalated quickly. 🛡️

A couple of months ago we laced up our boots, donned our finest Viking kit, and set out to see if anyone in York fancied a Viking adventure…

…and now? ⚔️

We’ve had warriors, shieldmaidens, tiny berserkers, and even the occasional confused tourist join us on the streets of Jorvik.

And honestly, we’re a bit blown away. 💨

We never expected such an incredible response so soon.

Every laugh, every booking, every person who’s come along and joined in the chaos, it genuinely means the world to us ❤️

So from the bottom of our (slightly dramatic, saga-loving) hearts…

We’re still a small band of Vikings trying to make our mark, but thanks to you lot, it feels like we might just make it into the sagas after all.

⚔️ We were on BBC Radio York this morning… ⚔️

A few weeks ago we were in York during the Viking Festival, saw a ghost walk go past and thought:

“Why isn’t there a Viking version of this?”

So we created one.

We had an incredible evening on the Nine Realms Tours "Viking Walking Tour" through the ancient streets of York – and it’s easily one of the most immersive experiences in the city today.

The gods were in a mood… and so was the weather.

Thor absolutely lost it over York the other day ⚡🌧️

Not a drizzle. Not a shower.

Full-on “why did I leave the house” rain.

And yet… they stayed.

A group of slightly soggy legends embracing their fate.

One guest even said:
“This feels more authentic.”

Which is bold… because historically speaking, Vikings didn’t exactly go:
“Let’s circle back when it’s dry.”

So there we were - drenched, laughing, telling sagas, questioning our life choices…
…and honestly having a brilliant time.

York wasn’t always this polite… 😄⚔️

Agnar’s been spotted on the Shambles this week handing out flyers - smiling, chatting… not pillaging anyone.

Which is a big change.

Because 1,000 years ago, this was Jórvík -
a loud, chaotic Viking city full of traders, warriors…
and probably at least one man arguing about a goat 🐐

Same streets. Slightly fewer axes.

Most people walk through it without ever realising what happened here…

Happy Mother’s Day from the Nine Realms! ⚔️

In Norse mythology, F***g was the goddess of motherhood and queen of the gods. When she heard a prophecy that her son Baldr might die, she literally travelled the Nine Realms making everything promise not to hurt him.

Every stone.
Every tree.
Every animal.

So if you’ve ever chased a toddler around York shouting “DON’T TOUCH THAT”…

Congratulations. You’re basically F***g.

So today we raise a horn to all the F***gs out there - the shieldmaidens of snack bags, lost socks, and heroic levels of patience.
