Wow, it's taken us three weeks to come back down to earth, return the hired quilt frames and equipment and re-pack all the antique quilts safety back into their respective homes.

Beamish - The Living Museum of The North Well worth a visit.

A small number of quilts on public display but to get the best from a visit appointments can be made for small groups to see a whole collection of quilts.

A recent trip to Beamish reminded me just how wonderful this Museum is. Set in over 300 acres of beautiful countryside in County Durham, the museum looks at life in the North East of England in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian times.
