What to love about skiing here:
❄️ Fresh powder and long winter season (January–March)
⛷️ Slopes for all levels — from mellow runs to freeride lines
🚠 Modern lifts like Hatsvali chairlift rising above Mestia
🏘️ Village charm with ancient Svan towers as your backdrop
🍲 After‑ski Georgian food and warm hospitality

✨ A Georgian New Year Fairy Tale ✨

When the clock strikes midnight in Georgia, the new year doesn’t just begin — it enters the house.

🌟 Mekvle (მეკვლე)
The first guest to cross the threshold after midnight is called mekvle. Chosen for their kind heart and lucky spirit, they bring sweets, fruit, and blessings — setting the tone for a year filled with joy, prosperity, and good fortune.

🍀 Bedoba (ბედობა)
On January 2nd, Georgians celebrate Bedoba, the day of destiny. It’s believed that everything you do on this day echoes through the year ahead — so laughter is louder, smiles are brighter, and hearts are kept light.

🌲 Chichilaki (ჩიჩილაკი)
Instead of an ordinary tree, many homes glow with chichilaki — a hand-carved tree of life made from hazelnut branches, decorated with fruit and sweets, symbolizing hope, renewal, and abundance.

In Georgia, New Year feels like a story whispered by candlelight — where traditions carry magic, and every doorstep welcomes a little miracle. ✨
Welcome the New Year the Georgian way.
