Time for a retrospective on some of 2025’s greatest trips. This was from an amazing outing to Birtvisi earlier this fall: crazy canyons, ancient castles in the forest, amazing rock formations. One of the most fun hikes in Georgia and super close to Tbilisi. More to come in the next few days.

Visited this amazing guesthouse in upper Adjara last week with two Indian guests. I had totally forgotten that I came here already five years before! It had been a spontaneous decision in the middle of a month-long trek around the southwest mountains. Ia and Tamaz are the epitome of gracious, cultured Adjarian hospitality - definitely a place to stop when you are in the Khulo area!

We had a great two-day adventure which took in tea tasting at Tea Gezruli • ჩაი გეზრული , a super early-season hike on Khvamli mountain (plenty of snow still!), tasting rare wines in Okureshi, and more.
