25years of Eminence… Glory be to God.
As kids, we were captivated by Journey to the West, a 16th-century Chinese novel brought to life on the big screen. This epic 19-year pilgrimage of the monk Xuanzang, who traveled to India to retrieve sacred Buddhist sutras, sparked something within us. Little did we know that we would one day embark on our own journey to the East, driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, education, and training to empower us for the challenges ahead.
From Kyebi to the World
Our paths converged at a school founded in 1936 by the visionary Nana Sir Ofori Atta I, paramount chief of Akyem Abuakwa. This institution was designed to transform lives, and for the 2001 year group, it was a transformative experience marked by the discipline of morning assembly, the excitement of inter-school sports, and the unbreakable bonds forged in the dormitories. We were shaped by Abusco, and 25 years on, we have blossomed into professionals making meaningful contributions to Mother Ghana, united by the spirit of 'One Yaanom One Pride'.
As we celebrate this Silver Jubilee, we honor our enduring network, pay tribute to those we've lost, and reaffirm our commitment to the unity of Yaanom 2001. Let this milestone be a catalyst for joyful reunions, introspection, and giving back to the institution that nurtured us, igniting a brighter future for generations to come.
