Just had an incredible experience at Asafo Gallery in Cape Coast!

This family-owned spot is a hidden treasure, filled with the most powerful and beautiful renditions of our Ancestors.

We were blown away by artist Jeffery Baidoo's work—he creates stunning portraits entirely from pieces of cloth! It's a truly next-level and unique art form you have to see in person.

The best part? The art is exceptional AND the prices are actually reasonable.

Cape Coast can be depressing with its dutty dungeons still being exploited for profit, and that whole story that still persists to this day, only now Africans fund their own exportation to plantations in the west at the expense of the development of Africa. The pirates continue to extract every mineral of value for 10 cents on the dollar, while our leaders come up with insignificant, ludicrous policies. (I learned that the dungeons are now open 24 hours because Mr. President created a slogan called the 24-hour economy, not because tourists are actually coming in the night. Tour guides are forced to stand post for absolutely nothing, more than fulfilling idiotic policy!) Nonetheless, we make the most of it, finding reason to laugh instead of cry.
