We are excited to announce upcoming initiatives for the "Empowering Youth for Gender Equality" project, which aims to enhance youth engagement and advocate for gender equality in the Volta and Eastern Regions of Ghana.
In the coming months, we will conduct a series of interactive workshops, both in-person and virtually, targeting over 1,200 youth participants. These workshops will focus on key areas such as education, health, and economic empowerment, providing young individuals with essential skills and knowledge.
Aligned with the Beijing+30 agenda, we will launch community-driven projects designed to raise awareness and involve local leaders. Information sessions and community meetings are expected to engage community members and advocates, fostering dialogue around gender equality and youth participation
Furthermore, we will host training sessions for youth leaders, equipping them with advocacy skills, community organising techniques, and resilience-building strategies. Participants will gain renewed confidence in their capacity to drive change within their communities.
Our goal is to indirectly benefit 4,600 individuals and support them through expanded outreach and ongoing advocacy efforts.
We appreciate the anticipated support from AWDF and look we forward to making a significant impact on gender equality and youth empowerment in the region.
