Penyi Set to Celebrate 25th Nugoryiza Festival

The people of Penyi in the Ketu North Municipality are set to celebrate the 25th edition of the Penyi Nugoryiza Festival on Saturday, 11th October 2025, at the Zion Primary Park, Penyi, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

This year’s celebration is under the theme: “Penyi Youth at the Heart of Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy Pulse: Cultivating Prosperity and Feeding the Nation.” The theme reflects the community’s commitment to empowering the youth to play a central role in national development, particularly in agriculture, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

The festival will be graced by distinguished dignitaries including:

Torgbuiga Dadzi VI, Fiaga of Penyi Traditional Area

Hon. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment (Special Guest of Honour)

Hon. Goosie Tanoh, Presidential Advisor on 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development

Hon. James Gunu, Ketu North NDC Parliamentary Aspirant

Hon. Gabriel Torku Kwamigah-Agbeko, Ketu North NPP Parliamentary Aspirant
