Here’s what you need to enter Canada to attend or work at the FIFA World Cup 26™ (matches in Toronto & Vancouver, Canada)

1. Entry Requirements for Fans (Attending Matches)

Visitor visa or eTA

To enter Canada as a spectator / fan to attend FIFA World Cup matches, you must have one of the following (depending on your citizenship and how you plan to travel):

• Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) – for visa-exempt travellers
• Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa)

if you are from a visa-required country (Ghanaian citizens generally need a visitor visa)

Passport valid for the duration of your stay

Note: There is no special “World Cup visa” — you use Canada’s normal tourist entry documents.

Having a match ticket does not guarantee your visa or eTA will be approved.

2. Entry & Work Rules for People Involved Officially with FIFA

Officially invited (FIFA-linked) players, staff, media, volunteers, workers

If you are invited by FIFA (players, coaches, team personnel, referees, accredited media, volunteers or contractors) and:
