🙌🏾 A wonderful day with my guest from the Netherlands—a beautiful and perfect blend of nature, culture, traditions, and smiles.

🥥 This was taken in Makasutu, where we demonstrated how to climb a palm tree to harvest red palm nuts and tap palm wine—what I like to call “jungle juice.”

🌴 After the demonstration, my guest confidently climbed the palm tree, full of smiles. 😀

The green turaco (Tauraco persa), also known as the Guinea turaco, is a medium-sized bird native to the forests of West and Central Africa.
It features vibrant green plumage, a red beak, a tall crest, and distinctive white and black facial markings.
The species is notable for its unique pigments—green (turacoverdin) and red (turacin)—which contain copper, unlike the structural coloration responsible for green feathers in most other birds.
