Does this sound familiar?

The chorus heard throughout the Greek islands during summer.

When ever we visit Kefalonia Island out of season it seems so strange to not hear the deafening sounds of the Cicadas.

Hot days, sounds of the Cicadas, incredible iced coffee and lazy evenings.

When it comes to beach swimming this is something that we really love!

There are lots of great beaches on Kefalonia for swimming but this beach has to be one of our favourites!

Warm shallow water and it is also great for snorkelling too!

With a good amount of parking and a place to grab a drink this beach fits all in our view!

This beach can be found on the very Northern tip of Cefalonia island.

A few moments later….

Within just a few moments you could be swimming in this beautiful, but at times it can be a very risky sea at Myrtos beach.

While it is truly jaw dropping and mesmerising it can be as dangerous as it is beautiful. Always take care, always be cautious and always be safe.

But also have fun and enjoy. Some days it is like a pond, other days it’s completely the opposite. Read the sea and take not of your surroundings. If no one else is in, take the hint.

There is no denying, she is ohh so beautiful though and one of many peoples highlights when they visit Kefalonia island.
