Some blues you can name. This one you can’t 🔶
Awarded second best beach in the world, according to World’s 50 beaches for 2026, Over 1,000 travel experts ranked it the 2nd best beach in the world for 2026. And the #1 in Europe. Also was No2 for FORBES list for 2025.
Fteri Beach sits tucked behind cliffs on the west coast of Kefalonia, cut off from roads and crowds. The only way in is by boat and a hard path from the mountains, which means the only people here chose to be here. No beach bars, no umbrellas, no noise. Just white pebbles, sheer limestone walls, and that water. A blue so deep it reads almost unreal from above, and somehow even more so when you’re standing in it.

Kini has the most beautiful sunsets 🌅✨
Kini is the kind of place that makes you stop mid-sentence. A small fishing village on the western coast of Syros, it faces the open Aegean with quiet confidence and every evening, it earns its reputation.

The sun doesn’t just set here. It performs. It drops slowly behind the horizon, painting the bay in layers of amber, rose, and deep gold, while the fishing boats sit still on the water like they’re watching too.
This place is strictly for lovers! ❤️

What a find. The Chapel of Agios Stefanos in Galissas is one of those places that stops you mid-step.

It’s built directly into a natural rock cave above the beach of Galissas, on the west coast of Syros. The rock itself forms the ceiling and walls, and the tiny whitewashed chapel sits inside almost like it grew there. That’s not an architectural choice; it’s an ancient instinct. Early Christians across the Aegean often converted natural caves into places of worship, partly for shelter, partly because caves already carried a sense of the sacred.

The chapel is dedicated to St. Stephen (Agios Stefanos), the first Christian martyr. It’s a very modest structure, one of those one-person-at-a-time chapels, but its setting gives it a weight that larger churches sometimes lack. The stone floor, the raw rock overhead, the small wooden door: it feels less like a building and more like a conversation between faith and geology.

It’s not widely written about in tourist guides, which is part of its appeal. Most people visit Galissas for the beach. A few climb up and find this.

Thank you .adventures for bring me there 😀 and Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis for the invitation and warm hospitality ✨❤️✨
