COWORKING ON FRIDAYS

People come, leave and come back to our headquarters of Peloponnese Living. A bit of co-working and chatting on Friday afternoons. Greek international community on Facebook and in real life in Arcadia.

Today, it was Frances Michelle Roldan who came home again from USA. Elaine from Cyprus and Oxana and Vladimir who were here years ago and came back to show their art and told us they now live in the north of Peloponnese.

Frosene and John are telling us about their cycle adventures. And Agata is speaking Greek and many other languages as our personal language wizard.

In the background you see our hardworking Greek team of Theodore and Ioannis. Vivian is sitting down for a minute, normally somewhere running around, lending things to others, welcoming long-stay guests and helping people with whatever they need or want to explore.

Desiree and Mike were busy with their science writing and whatever else. James is planning his reforestation projects, and Peter... We don't know what Peter is up to. He knows this area like the back of his hand since he lived in Tripoli for years and calls PA Tripoli at the Sea.

1Η ΓΙΟΡΤΗ ΜΑΝΙΤΑΡΙΩΝ ΣΤΗ ΣΙΤΑΙΝΑ - ΚΥΡΙΑΚΗ 13 ΑΠΡΙΛΙΟΥ
ΩΡΑ ΕΝΑΡΞΗΣ: 10:00

Ο Δήμος Βόρειας Κυνουρίας σε συνεργασία με τον Πολιτιστικό Σύλλογο Σίταινας διοργανώνουν την 1η Γιορτή Μανιταριών.
Η γιορτή θα λάβει χώρα την Κυριακή 13 Απριλίου και ώρα 10:00 στη Σίταινα.

Οι κάτοικοι της Σίταινας διαχρονικά και για πολλούς αιώνες υπήρξαν μανιώδεις μανιταροσυλλέκτες, επιλέγοντας κυρίως τις “σκωταριές”, τις “κουπίτσες” και πρωτίστως τα μαρτίνια τα οποία εναγωνίως κάθε Άνοιξη αναζητούσαν στη Μαγούλα, στο Πρινάρι, στου Γαρόζη, στο Μαυροβούνι, στου Παυλιούση, στου Χαλκιόπουλου και σε πολλά ακόμα σημεία, μανιταρότοπους του δάσους της Σίταινας.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της γιορτής οι επισκέπτες θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα:
– Να ενημερωθούν για τον κόσμο-βασίλειο των μανιταριών.
– Να συμμετέχουν σε ομάδες συλλογής μανιταριών (κυρίως μαρτινιών) στο δάσος του Πάρνωνα υπό την επίβλεψη και καθοδήγηση έμπειρων οδηγών και ειδικών.
– Να γνωρίσουν και να ζήσουν την ανοιξιάτικη μαγεία του Πάρνωνα, της Σίταινας και των γειτονικών χωριών.
– Να απολαύσουν μοναδικές γεύσεις και συνταγές μανιταριών από ειδικό σεφ, όσο και παραδοσιακές γεύσεις και συνταγές των γυναικών του Συλλόγου.

Τον συντονισμό και την εποπτεία των δράσεων θα έχει ο Νεκτάριος Φιλιππόπουλος με την ομάδα και τους συνεργάτες του, ο οποίος θεωρείται ως ο “γκουρού” κι ένας από τους πιο ειδικούς των άγριων μανιταριών στη χώρα μας (ΠΑΝΕΛΛΗΝΙΟΣ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΜΑΝΙΤΑΡΟΕΞΟΡΜΗΣΕΩΝ).

Η Γιορτή εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο ανάδειξης και υποστήριξης νέων μορφών Εναλλακτικού Τουρισμού στον Δήμο Βόρειας Κυνουρίας.

In Airbnb app you can find apartments for 1500-2500 per month. Bit too expensive of course for the slow months of the off-season. So, we fight for you, our community, to make affordable long stay in the off season possible. For or who want to explore an area first.

This is a hidden beach in Petalidi... Not as nice and sandy as in our own Arcadia, but we will find more and more and more. And it is a great beach for a swim, board, or snorkel session. And watershoes are easy to get here.
