Varosha is an abandoned district in ** ( )**.

It was a thriving tourist destination before the **Turkish of Cyprus in 1974**.
When Turkish forces took control of the Greek island, Greek residents fled, and the area was fenced off and left frozen in time.

For decades, Varosha remained a ghost town, controlled by the Turkish military.
In 2020, Turkey reopened parts of it to visitors, sparking international criticism.

The Turks repaired all the roads and put solar street lights as well as bike routes and carts for tourists...
There's even a café where you can 'enjoy' a drink next to the ruins of the ghost town....🙄
