I’m so glad you came to check out my message. Here are three highlights from my year that I would love to share with you:
Touring with My Parents!
My father, the “swimmer”, didn’t always feel proud of me for working as a guide—I guess he didn’t quite understand what my tours were like. So, I took him and my uncles on a tour twice. The result? He learned to smile and even brag about my job!
The second tour was on his 70th birthday, where we wore matching father-son outfits.
As for my mom, I treated her to a fancy dinner high up on the promenade, followed by a romantic junk boat ride. She loved it!
My First Thanksgiving in Hong Kong!
I was booked for a tour by a group of expats, and we became friends afterwards. After home hangouts, a housewarming party, and a baby’s 100th day celebration in the mid-levels, I joined them for Thanksgiving on a rooftop. The views were stunning, the vibe was cozy, and I even carved the turkey!
Graduating from My Master’s Degree!
During COVID, I was inspired to study Expressive Arts Therapy in hopes of helping others through creative self-expression. I believe this is meaningful work, as I can walk alongside people on their unique journeys in life. However, it wasn't easy to get into the program. I even had Zoe agree to marry me if I was successfully admitted to HKU. After three years of hard work, I finally graduated and paid tribute to my wife by showing my wedding ring on stage.
This achievement wouldn’t have happened without your support. “Will you still guide though, Armie?” Absolutely. I still love guiding. I’ve met my wife and made so many friends along the way. While I’ll soon begin my journey as a therapist, I don’t think I’ll ever stop guiding-it’s part of me. Life is a journey, and it’s all about sharing moments and connections.
I plan to build my own guide website in spring 2026 and continue offering tours for those who value warmth and connection. I'd love your permission to share the photos from our tour online. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you for everything! I wish you and your loved ones luck, health, joy, and peace as we welcome the new year!
Best,
Armie
