Received encouraging news today regarding normalisation of direct flights to/from one of our all time favourite destinations: Mongolia.
Bi-weekly flights to resume between Hong Kong and Ulan Bator on November 22, with provisional plans by MIAT to increase to a full schedule (5 or 6 flights a week) beginning next April; hopefully all in good time for the start of the 2023 summer season.

Well after a long Covid-induced hibernation our first trip back is in the bag: a hard but spectacular traverse of the Great Divide from the lush green Pangi Valey in Himachal Pradesh, to beautifully arid Zanskar in Ladakh.

Thanks for visiting. My name is Adrian Bottomley and I founded Whistling Arrow in 2009. In short, it is an expression of my passion to discover and share deeply immersive, 'best of breed' adventures that are imaginatively designed, expertly managed and largely unique.
On offer here are NOT dozens of standard white-label itineraries, but rather a singular collection of meticulously researched and personally guided trips from the only people I know we can trust - ourselves. I care deeply about three things; safely delivering bold one-of-a-kind experiences, having some fun along the way, and ensuring that you come back for more.
This year, we offered several new trips including two pioneering expeditions in eastern Tibet to explore the sacred peaks of Golok and Yading, an eagle hunter trek into an undiscovered corner of the Altai mountains in western Mongolia, and a bold expedition back into the remote western mountains of Bhutan.
