Our tours are culturally immersive walking tours, meaning that you will travel around Hong Kong on foot and using the excellent public transport system. Our Priva

te Customised tours are ideal for people who would like a detailed overview of Hong Kong prior to exploring further on their own and also for people who would like to make the most of a limited amount of time in Hong Kong. Our Lantau, Food and Night ‘themed’ tours allow for an in-depth exploration of a district or topic. If you are lucky enough to have 4 days in Hong Kong booking one of each of our tours would give you a depth of insight that very few visitors (and expats living in Hong Kong) ever get.

One of the best parts of a private customised car tour? Getting to Hong Kong's most scenic viewpoints in total comfort. This stop overlooks the skyline from up in the hills, with the ICC and the rest of the Kowloon skyline stretched out below — a view most visitors never get to see because it's tucked away from the usual bus routes.

With a private car, you skip the crowded lookout points and the long walks in the heat. Just step out, take in the view, and hop back into an air-conditioned ride when you're ready to move on to the next stop. It's Hong Kong sightseeing without the rush, the crowds, or the sweat.

Add this one to your Hong Kong to-do list if you want the postcard views without the tour bus hassle.

Lanterns overhead, street food sizzling all around — this is Temple Street Night Market at its finest!

One of the best parts of a Kowloon food tour: wandering through this iconic market with new friends, snacking your way past sizzling skewers, fresh seafood, and local treats, all under a canopy of glowing red and gold lanterns.

This family found their perfect Hong Kong night — good food, good company, and a market that's pure sensory overload (in the best way).

Come experience Temple Street with us on your next small group tour! https://www.hellohongkong.com.hk/group-kowloon-tour

Strangers when we started, friends by the end of the night.

This view looking down over Kowloon's night market streets is one of our favorite stops on the small group Kowloon tour — colorful stalls, buzzing crowds, and a skyline that never sleeps below us.

Small group travel means more than sightseeing. It means real conversations, local insight, and the kind of connections that make a trip unforgettable.

If you want to experience Hong Kong like a local, you have to save room for dessert.

Our traditional sweet shops are masters at combining old-school ingredients with comforting flavors. This bowl pairs the cooling, smooth properties of authentic grass jelly with a rich, childhood-favorite malty topping. It’s exactly the kind of hidden culinary gem we love introducing travelers to when exploring the real character of our neighborhoods.

Have you ever tried traditional Chinese grass jelly? 👇

🐉 Dragon boats slicing through Aberdeen Harbour! Caught this race last Saturday, June 27 — the drummer's beat keeping every paddle stroke perfectly in sync. Dragon boat racing dates back over 2,000 years in Chinese culture, originally tied to the Duanwu Festival. Aberdeen's working harbour backdrop (you can spot the cargo barges and cranes) makes it feel even more authentic — this isn't a staged tourist event, it's local life on the water. Definitely adding "watch a dragon boat race" to anyone's Hong Kong to-do list!

The best way to truly understand a neighborhood is to look at it through the eyes of someone who knows its history inside out.

Kiyo, our Hello! Hong Kong local guide is pointing out the rich, layered history of Kowloon during a stop on our Street Food and Culture Tour. Beyond the delicious bites, our guides love sharing the deeper stories of these neighborhoods—explaining how the dense urban landscape, local housing estates, and nearby mountains have shaped the unique character and daily life of the community over the decades. It's about connecting the flavors on your plate to the living history right outside the window.

The true heart of Hong Kong’s culinary scene lies in the dedicated hands of local chefs who have mastered their craft over decades. 🥢

Here, you can see the precise rhythm of preparing authentic wonton noodles. From maintaining the perfect temperature of the boiling broth to using traditional bamboo-and-mesh strainers to expertly drain and portion the noodles, every second counts. This meticulous cooking process ensures the noodles retain their signature springy, "al dente" texture (known locally as ngau gei). It’s a beautiful culinary art form that turns simple ingredients into an incredibly delicious, time-honored comfort meal.

Spotting a "Ding Ding" with a serious level-up!

Hong Kong's historic double-decker trams are famous for their classic charm, but they also serve as moving canvases for some of the most vibrant artwork and advertisements in the city. It’s always fun to see which design will roll past next while exploring the local neighborhoods.

Have you ever taken a ride on the upper deck of a Hong Kong tram?
