If you're visiting Roatán and wondering whether to book a private tour — do it… and book it with Ronal. It was hands-down the BEST decision our family made on the entire trip.

From the very beginning, I wanted something customized, not a cookie-cutter excursion. I reached out through his website, and his wife Kimberly immediately made me feel like we were in great hands. She was friendly, responsive, and truly listened to everything I was hoping for. I mentioned that I wanted a food tour, but also a cultural experience — I didn’t want the tourist version of Roatán, I wanted the real one. She delivered an itinerary that checked every box and then some.

And then came the tour… wow. Ronal didn’t just show us the island — he shared his island. We explored areas we never would have found on our own and stopped at incredible local food spots we probably would have driven right past without a second thought. Each stop felt authentic, delicious, and uniquely memorable.

Between bites, Ronal shared stories about growing up on the island, its history, culture, and how it’s changed over the years. The conversation flowed so naturally that it felt like we were spending the day with an old friend. His knowledge was impressive, but what made it special was the personal touch — you could tell how much he loves his home and enjoys sharing it.

He was also incredibly attentive — always thinking ahead, making sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and having fun. And somehow, he even managed to win over our three teenage sons (which deserves its own five-star rating 😂). They were engaged, laughing, and genuinely enjoying every minute.

By the end of the day, this wasn’t just a tour — it felt like spending time with family. Our tour with Ronal was the #1 highlight of our entire trip, and that’s saying a lot. We will absolutely be back, and when we are, booking another (or two!) tours with Ronal will be the first thing we do.

Great news! Honduras has officially announced that foreign travelers will NOT be required to provide proof of measles vaccination to enter the country!

✅ As of July 3, 2025, there are no confirmed cases of measles in Honduras.
✅ The vaccination card requirement is waived for all international visitors arriving in the country!

This means you can enjoy your trip to Roatán without any worries about measles vaccination documentation. Honduras is committed to keeping travel safe and stress-free for visitors!

Please note: The vaccination requirement still applies to Honduran citizens aged 12 months to 10 years traveling to countries with active measles outbreaks.

Co-what-i? Meet the adorable coatimundi! This charming furball is a lesser-known gem of Roatan, and you might be surprised to learn it has a famous family. Closely related to the raccoon, the coati is about the size of a large house cat, sporting a distinctive ringed tail and a playful personality!

Unlike its nocturnal cousins, coatis are daytime adventurers. They love to climb trees, often creating cozy twig-and-leaf nests for their little ones. When it’s time for a nap, you might catch them tucking their noses into their bellies, snoozing peacefully in the treetops. 💤🌳

During the day, these curious critters are all about snacking! With their long, flexible noses, they search for insects, fruit, rodents, lizards, and even small snakes. 🍏🐍
